Start in your terminal
Mel is the terminal. Plan, run, and verify work in the shell you already use.
Mel is the agentic terminal that plans, builds, tests and ships your work with a team of AI agents. Build apps, websites, online stores, AI agents and automations just by saying what you want, with Claude, GPT, Gemini, DeepSeek, Qwen and more, on your own keys or Mel credits. Go from prompt to production-ready code, with configurable approvals that keep you in control. Free on Mac, Linux, Windows and VS Code.
Mel is built into the terminal, so reading files, running commands, editing code, and moving through a project all happen in one place. No handoff between chat, shell, and editor. Just a clearer path from task to output.

Open Mel runs from your own scripts and tools with a Mel API key, on your own model key.
Agents that plan, run and verify, work in parallel, run on your servers over SSH, plug into MCP and VS Code, remember your project, and reach you on Telegram.
Ask in plain English, and Mel does the work: it reads your project, runs the commands, follows the approvals you set, and checks the result. Claude, GPT, Gemini, DeepSeek, Qwen and more, with fallback across providers.
An agentic terminal is a terminal with AI agents built in: they plan the work, run commands, edit files and check the result, with you in control. Mel is an agentic terminal for macOS, Windows, Linux and VS Code.

Mel works with Claude, GPT and Gemini, and with DeepSeek, Qwen, Kimi and GLM. Auto mode picks the right model for each task, or you can pin one. Use your own provider key for free (provider usage charges apply), or hosted credits on Pro, Max and Business. Business workspaces use US model providers only.
Claude Code is one provider's agent that you run inside a terminal, and Cursor is a code editor. Mel is the terminal itself: Claude, GPT, Gemini, DeepSeek, Qwen and more in one app, a team of agents that plans, builds, tests and ships, and Claude Code or Codex CLI in the team when you want them.
Not yet. Open source is coming soon. Mel is a free download today, and the AI agent is free on your own provider key.
